About Michael Grauer

Michael Grauer is the McCasland Chair of Cowboy Culture/Curator of Cowboy Collections and Western
Art in Oklahoma City. He has worked as a curator for over 40 years and has written three books and is a
contributor to several other publications about the art of the American West. Grauer holds a Master of
Arts in History from West Texas A&M University, a Master of Arts in Art History from Southern
Methodist University, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art History and Painting from the University of
Kansas.
