Children & Family Programs

The Grace offers a variety of ways for children and families to engage with art, creative processes, and hands-on learning. Check out our offerings below – or click the button to see what’s coming up all year!

Tot Spot

A monthly Tot Spot event held on the first consecutive Thursday and Friday (September through May) includes a gallery tour and a related art project led by a Grace Museum Educator with play time in Spark. All materials, supplies, and surfaces will be sanitized before and after each class. Registration is preferred but we also welcome walk-ins! FREE for Grace Museum Members | $7 per participating child for Non-Members

Make ’n’ Take

Come downtown each month to enjoy ArtWalk nights and a free craft project. Make ’n’ Take projects occur in the 3rd floor Education Classroom and are free to all participants.

Annual Art Competition

The Grace Museum celebrates artists of all ages! Our Annual Children’s Art Competition is for kids age 2 through 5th grade who have completed an original piece of art in the past year using any material (except glitter). Submissions will be judged by age category and winning submissions will be displayed in the Spark Student Gallery. Watch for the competition to happen each spring.

Homeschool Art Day

The Grace partners with homeschool providers to provide additional instructions to their art curricula. Members of Big Country Home Educators (BCHE) can participate at no charge. Three classes are held once a month (September through May), and parents are required to stay for specific classes. Pre-registration is required.
