What role does sand play in making glass?

Come hang out with us at the Museum during Spring Break week and let off some STEAM! Visitors can participate in a special Steam Break activity that explores how silica (sand) is a key ingredient in glass. Visitors will create a piece of sand art inspired by Carlyn Ray’s glass sculptures featured in the Main Gallery.

Activities are FREE with regular Museum admission.
