Join us for the Grand Opening of Spark Science Center at Abilene Heritage Square!

• Welcome and Ribbon Cutting for Abilene Heritage Square – 1699 South 1st Street
• Dedication of Inspiration Takes Flight, a new sculpture by Texas Artist KT Taylor
• The new Abilene Public Library will be open! Come see the beautiful three-story, hanging glass sculpture Gathered Radiance by Carlyn Ray. This unique art piece is made from hundreds of blown-glass pieces, including those decorated by Abilenians.
• Explore newly restored venue spaces, Owen Hall, the restored historic school auditorium, and Heritage Event Center, the historic gymnasium – open until 5pm
• Spark Science Center will offer FREE 45-minute, self-guided tours for visitors. There will be a limited number of visitors per hour allowed to enter Spark in order to safely accommodate all of our guests. Walk-ups are welcome and will be admitted on a first come, first served basis (subject to space availability in each time slot). Entry times are 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm, 4:00 pm.
