Join us for a collage workshop by Ángela Vela from the Indigenous Cultures Institute and learn about Texas’s indigenous tribes through crafts, activities, and our Cultural Heritage Exhibition.

6-8 p.m. | Collage Workshop led by Ángela Vela

The workshop is a free come-and-go event for the public and begins at 6 p.m. with a ceremonial opening. The collage workshop is an opportunity to connect with the land and ancestors in a hands-on and mindful way. Attendees are encouraged to bring photos of their ancestors. A Nʉmʉnʉʉ (Comanche) word bank for community members who wish to connect this to their therapeutic art pieces and reconnect with the language will be available as well.
