Grace Studio: Mexican Yarn Art

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!
Participants will create Yarn Art inspired by Mexican folk tradition in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. These “yarn paintings” are a traditional art belonging to the Wixárika/Huichol, a thriving indigenous people of Mexico. The Huichol created yarn paintings in the mid-20th century as a commodified version of their art to protect the sanctity of their original ancestral yarn art, nierika.
No experience necessary!
Grace Studio classes are for lifelong learners and lifelong artists. Bring a friend or come make a new one! Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks to enjoy while you work.
