Bottles & Brushes: Abstract Self-Portraits
March 21 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm$25.00 – $30.00
Bring a bottled beverage & get ready to paint!
For our Women’s History Month Bottles and Brushes class, we will be learning about one of the women artists in our collection, Lydia Bodnar-Balahutrak. Drawing inspiration from her style and her process of creating art, we will be creating abstract self-portrait collages. Bodnar-Balahutrak says her “work begins with collecting newspaper and magazine articles, treasured mementos, and bits of cultural artifacts that address specific themes I wish to explore in more depth.”
This is a no experience necessary class where we hope to see your individuality as an artist shine through by creating a work of art that you feel represents YOU.
Invite some friends, bring your favorite bottled beverage (optional), sip while you paint, and leave with your very own masterpiece ready to hang up!
