Sports writer and Historian Michael Hurd speaks about his groundbreaking book, Thursday Night Lights, which tells the inspiring, largely unknown story of African American high school football in Texas from 1920-1970. Hurd will address how the league came to be, its notable players, coaches, and teams, and how the PVIL dissolved with integration.
