At the entrance to the new Children's Museum, you'll be greeted by

a large, working Interactive Clock that also includes pulleys, levers,

and fulcrums that teach about mechanical advantage and systems;

and you'll get to play and learn from a secret, repeating Whisper

Phone so you can relay a message to your friends and parents!

Come Play & Learn in

The Grace's Children's Museum!

The Grace's Children's Museum is full of cool, new discovery-based learning exhibits. Here are a few of the things you'll see:

- A fully padded Toddler Exploration Area representative of a West Texas landscape that includes a two-level Texas pecan tree with a hidden birds nest children can play in.

- A secret repeating Whisper Phone for relaying messages to friends and parents.

- A large working Interactive Clock that also includes pulleys, levers, fulcrums that teach about mechanical advantage and systems.

- A Health Zone with a life-size "Operation" game table, "Build a Body" using xrays, the interactive Grace ambulance, kiosks on eyes and digestion (with fun and gross pull-out guts), and the Body Atlas, where you can learn about each of the body's primary systems through the use of movable panels.

Also returning in the new Children's Museum are the popular Recollections video play area, and the mesmerizing Gravity Well!

We hope you'll agree that our new Children's Museum is an amazing center for discovery-based learning experiences and will provide a new generation of families

with memories to treasure.

The renovation of the Children's Museum has been made possible by a generous gift from the Dian Graves Owen Foundation, with subsequent gifts from the Terrell Tone Owen Memorial Fund, Abilene Regional Medical Center, Hendrick Health System, Dr. Eric and Sue Schackmuth, Dr. Sandip and Mishi Mathur, Taylor-Jones-Haskell County Medical Alliance, and Cardiology Consultants.

that includes a life-size "Operation" game table, "Build a Body" using xrays,

the interactive Grace ambulance, kiosks on eyes and digestion

(with fun and gross pull-out guts), and the Body Atlas, where you can learn

about each of the body's primary systems through the use of movable panels.
